Muzzleloader in shotgun zone?

Can I use a muzzleloader instead of of a shotgun during firearm season in shotgun zone??

Sure can, you could even use a scope durring the firearms season if you wanted.

If I hunted in the shotgun zone I would definitely use my muzzleloader. It's more accurate than any slug gun.

I wouldn't go that far, with todays new slugs and rifled barrels, they are pretty acurate out to 150yds.

They are both accurate and I considered that for my trip to Iowa this fall. My shotgun will shoot less than an inch at 100 yards and was still accurate to 150 which is as far as I tried it. I have not put a scope on my muzzleloader to see what that can do.

I am bringing my ml along as a backup to my .270 during the firearm season. Just in case my scope gets messed up or something...

I'm not denying that they're accurate to that range, just the degree of the accuracy. It's really nitpicking anyway.
