doe bleat cans. some better than others?

ive been using doe bleat cans religiously now for about 5 years. I started off with the primos cans, worked ok until you got them wet. didnt like the fact that sometimes the bleat didnt sound right if the wafer didnt reset all the way. I tried another (cant remember the name) was all black and that one was junk. the last couple years i have settled on the primos e-can. It doesnt sound as real but in my opinion is louder and you get a more consistent bleat. bad thing is you cannot turn it off so im constantly bumping it. Are there any better ones out there? other ones i should try? im pretty happy with this can, im just wondering if other people are having luck with this one also.

I just stick with the grunt tube... but I have used a Primos can with the hole in the bottom. I though it was ok.

To stop it from making sound, just take a piece of electrical tape and fold over one end of the tape so you can open it up when you want to use it!

I have one of those Primos cans. I carry it in my front pants pocket, pretty rare that it makes unwanted noise in there unless I have to climb over a down tree trunk or something.

Never have had any results using it though...

I use the hand tip cans and place the piece of tape over the hole to prevent unwanted noises.

Where are you hunting?

i now use one of the e-cans (battery operated) it has a large button that i always bump. called in 3 bucks last year opening weekend

i just keep seeing new cans, just wondering if they are supposed to be new and improved or something. "new super crazy long extended release estrus bleat!" haha

A few years ago I set up my ladder stand in a great looking spot. Not too far off the trail but it looked good for opening morning. In the stand an hour before shooting time. Just as it got light I hear some joker not 50 yards behind me banging some antlers together. Obviously an amateur. It sounded terrible. When the noise stopped I was glad it was over. Next thing I hear is footsteps. This guy is giving up and moving on. Turns out it was 2 bucks behind me. One walked behind me and the other in front. Sometimes I think we try too hard to sound like the real thing.

hahah yeah i've been fooled by turkeys in much the same manner - hear some hunter yelping really badly, and [PoorWordUsage] that he's hunting so close, only to find out its the real thing
