i have heard from a few people now they have been using vanilla extract with success anybody ever heard this cuz its new to me thanks

Yep, their are a couple vanilla based scents on the market. One is called scent web and the other one I used was team fitzgerald vanilla killa

Only scents that I have found work are fresh doe in estrus order online ships cold keep cold it looks and smells different than store baught old stuff and I have had success with drags etc with this stuff. It's 25$ a bottle maybe not worth it other than I feel optimistic about it...

+1 on fresh scent, I have my hunting clothes in the pen with my deer and she sleeps on them + fresh tarsal gland all I got to do is rub her leg.

if im using scent I cant even tell if it works or not deer just come in from the usual directions maybe they just smell it and put their guard down cuz its just that comfort they might get thinking a deer was near by or whatever... one thing i did noticed was a few days ago raking the leaves i noticed a distink smell from bagging all the leaves and just thaught forget about all these comercial [PoorWordUsage] just bag up my gear with a bunch of leaves and I'll be smelling like the woods already so why bother? better yet when i get to camp just burry my blaze in a pile of leaves... really tho how sure are we to believe deer really do have super high power smell

all i can think of is this... deer walks and can smell everything around them they are on the look out then smell something yummy or interesting and just think oooh yummy and just that is enough to get their mind off the danger thats around even just for a split second is enough

Handgunner, I do something similar. I place my hunting clothes in a tote full of leaves. I think it works great as a cover scent, plus I love the smell of fall. It is a very distinct aroma.

I do a little of the leaves in the tote as well. After I wash the clothes in scent killer soap and hang out to dry - spray all clothes / all layers from top to bottom, socks included, with scent killer spray. Then whent thats dry I fold neatly and pack them so they are easily accessable in the toat according to day 1 /day 2/day 3 etc. Just be sure you don't have a neighborhood dog or cat peeing on your leaves that your putting in your tote. That could be quite counter productive.
