NFC North Looking solid

...and let's not forget to give credit where it is due. The Vikings went on the road to San Diego and almost pulled out a win. They looked pretty good for a team with a new-ish coach, two new coordinators, and a new quarterback. They've got something solid to build upon.

They did not look very good, 39 passing yards, Come on man..... They have to start over from scratch on Offense. 39 yards, I still can't believe it, every time I hear that number I can't stop laughing.

yeah, credit for what? 39 yards passing? A KO return on the chargers, who give them up like clockwork? Sorry, but it was a pretty pathetic game, the only positive is that the vikes "only" gave up as few points as they did

Is a lions fan really talking smack? I didn't see the game. Being it was only a 7 point game and assuming the vikes did look that bad, I can only surmise that the chargers looked like garbage as well. Obviously some aspects of the vikings played alright to be in the game to the end on the road at what many people feel is a superbowl favorite.

Settle down I'm joking. I have Stafford to Johnson in my big league so I hope they have a good year. Entitled though? Not sure 1 win does that. Not sure 1 good season does that even. See me in week 3? Ok....ill be on the river.....

Ps look real close at the hat in my avatar. We do have something in common.

Not really many (or any) gimmes for the Pack in the division. Vikes always play us hard, and Chicago and Detroit definitely look semi tough!

I agree, the Vikings do always play us tough. BUT, I dont see them getting even 6 wins this year. The thing about the Vikings is they keep bringing in these old vet QBs thinking they will give them the edge to get to a superbowl. Seriously, how many times have they done this? Favre was close, and he broke their heart when I knew he would, cause we went through it many times. Then they beg him back the next year, he has a terrible year. Now they bring in McNabb? Really?? Its going to be a long season for them. 39 yards against any defense is pathetic. I know its only week one........but they have more than just a little to work on. You cant ride APs back all year. I see Ponder starting by week 5, if McNabb still is....well...McNabb.

I get all that.

But if the Vikes, Beers or Liarons play us tough enough when we are in a down week and they are in a good one, we could lose. It happens. We don't like to lose. Aside from winning the division, overall record matters. smile

No need to bash the Vikes. They'll do that just fine themselves.
