It's Labor Day weekend, what do you expect? Everyone is out gearing up for fall activities and deer hunting is the most popular of them all.

I've had bear hunters, bird hunters and random hikers ruin my hunts.... part of the deal. gotta shake it off and get out there again. Preferably on a weekday or a weekend that is NOT a holiday weekend.

Agreed everybody has a right to hunt public land, just hope people are respectful and also try to stay away from crowds knowing this time of year the crowds will start coming out. I make a ton of work for myself baiting keeping my sites away and hard to get to but in 3 years never had anybody around me all season long.

Um, boar. Local Bears get use to "local" noises and activity. They also eat most of the time in the evening when the chain saw guys do. Get back out there! wink P.S I was out putting up some of my bow hunting stands this weekend. Sorry! grin

Boar we had something even better..

Our new neighbors the "TOOLS" decided to show us just how much of a TOOL they can be.

We talked with them months ago about just keeping it down for a couple days in the evening when bear opened they agreed, not a problem even offered to help drag one out if we needed help.I offered to set up a couple baits for thier boys if they got drawn.

Well they decided from thursday on to target shoot constantly from 4 pm till after dark and I mean constantly...

Yup its all legal and yup we will keep trying during the week when they aint there.

um leech, i knew it was you grin im still out there, But have had no hits since theyve been in there, went in today an nothing. Still plugging away at it. persistant boar

Keep plugging away buddy! How much land do you have up there? Maybe you should put out some small "feeler" baits in a few other new places down the road to see if anything will fire-up some where else. Scoop up some super stinky stuff from one of your baits and throw it in a burlap bag and tie it as high up a tree that you can reach to get the scent going down wind. Once you get a new one fired up. Move! wink
