I would bet, hope, Leech. Big enough lake and weigh in at the casino? Reputation for big fish, 20+ bags every day. I also like the Mystery aspect of the tournament. If in fact in MN, of all the lakes mentioned, no experience on the lakes for any of them. Practice and fish. Minnetonka does not get permits for weekend tournaments does it?

Love to see something on Leech when there's a coldfront and the bass seem to vanish... Be interesting to see what they came up with.

Too bad Tonka is such a hassle. Be another fun one to see an event on. If by 'the DNR cooperating' you mean giving them a waiver on the special regs, don't hold your breath. The DNR has taken the approach that just because you're a big operation doesn't mean you get special treatment. (For the record - it's an approach I happen to agree with...) The FLW and PWT both tried for years to get them to change that in re: walleye tournaments, and got nowhere. There IS new leadership there so anything's possible, but I'd be a more than a little surprised. It's a pretty firmly-held attitude in the department I think.

Leech would be fun to see. But Im not sure it fishes large enough for 100 boats for a couple days. After that you have 50 and 12, which its plenty big for. But for a lake of that size, it does not fish that large for bass.

We have had the state tourney up there with close to 100 boats a few times, and 2 anglers per boat. I didn't really have many boats around me for the 2 day tourney and 4 day practice

I would think the way it fishes would make it more of an interesting tourney. If everyone is pulling in huge bags I feel it becomes more of a drawing straws thing with who can get the extra couple ounces. I think when the fishing is tougher the best of the best really stand out.

I was speaking to how large it fishes. Tonka isn't nearly as big as Leech, but it fishes bigger. Meaning there are more spots and techniques that could work.

Im sure Leech would be big enough. I would just like to see a more diverse lake like Vermillion...

I was just reading my new bassmaster and glanced at the "day on the lake" article. The guy catches 3 fish after a full day. They should do one of those when they're up here; it would be pretty funny to see them try to write the article with a 50-100 fish day. They wouldn't have room on the chart at the end of the article that graphs the weight and time of each catch.
