The size of this bear

well, i guess you can tell i am not sure on the size of this bear. anyone have any good guestimates on its size? the camera is 7.5 ft up a tree angled down. before this pic was taken, the bear leaned up the tree and swatted the camera moving it a bit. im no quota, so figured what the heck, ill bait and see what happens. it hit my bait and once again, it pulled my camera down, and i only got pics of ears. is this a bear worth pursuing? I think its a decent bear, i guess it looks like it has a heavy snout

Thats a tuff angle and height to judge a bear but looking at its ears and how the body appearsto be skinny and the legs long. I am going to say under the 200lbs rang. A nice bear and I would go after it. To help save your camera out on rubber gloves and then hang the camera. You might have some bait smell on the camera or sometimes the lights on a camera attract attention from the bear as well. Good luck

Just my opinion-that is a 2 year old Bear. maybe 100#s.

My guess would be around 175# and definitely worth chasing you get 2 tags no quota

I'm guessing 175. Average minnesota bear is probably 150. Daylight pics are good.

I make my own bear boxes an lag bolt them to a tree at waist height with two lagg bolts so it cant spin. i get a few noses but havent had any destroyed. i wear rubber gloves an wen the baiting is done then i take my gloves off an swap the cards. I would take it, that bear is a perfect freezer bear, lot less work but delicious. Going after the big boys is awsome fun but ya might as well shoot a moose for all the work invovled. I would guess pretty close in size to this one, maybe a little bit bigger.

As mentioned above, a nice size to use one of your two tags on.
