I cant sleep an if I do I dream of bear. every extra minuet finds me in my garage going over bait, stands, equipment, an wiping the drool of my mouth as come out of trance from staring into the corner of the garage daydreaming of bear. So whos jacked up!

Me me me!!!!!! The hardest part for me right now is rounding up some goodies being that I didn't know for sure if I was going to get a surplus tag or not. Bout the only thing I really need right now is the frier grease and I will be ready to go. I have some goodies coming from Cumberland already. We have company coming up this weekend, so I hope to start on Sunday afternoon after they leave.

your points shouldnt get used because you got a surplus tag, they are only used if you got drawn and bought a tag.

For some areas you had better luck getting drawn than getting a surplus tag. They went really fast. Dont know if I like the new system and they will probally change it again next year, who knows.

I like the new system. At least the extra tage are getting used. Also I wouldn't be hunting this year if it weren't for the surplus tags. They did go quick though. I thought they might though. Recieved the actual tag in the mail yesterday, I bought mine online.

Don't forget greasing the wheels with the wife. Normally I've had at least a month to get all my stuff ready and kiss up to my wife. With this last minute windfall of a tag I'm scrambling and she's mad. Normally it's at least October before she's torqued at me about hunting.

After hanging cameras yesterday and working on my duck boat for the last week I woke up this morning and I had that butterfly feeling. Three weeks to go and so much work yet to be done. I love it.

I've got the wheeler and the truck gassed up, three contractor bags shoveled full of 125 pounds of bait each, 3 tree stands and climbing sticks, and the trailer pointed out of the garage. All I have to do is put in a half day at work tomorrow, hook up the trailer and then I'm headed to the hunting shack.

I am pumped as ever with the new rules and reg changes things should add up to a great year. I have had my stuff ready to go for a week already. I took off at midnight because I couldnt sleep and now I am waiting the first light so that I can get my bait out in my spots. I have more bait than i know what to do with and even more grease thanks to pops work. Soon I will be inthe woods and then itchng to get back out there to check the baits again. See everyone in the woods I am not sure what I need to do but I am sure I forgot something.
