Deitz Dittrich
I have it.. works well.. I really only use it to search lakes that I have yet to get to.. although I did use it a lot for ice fishing this last winter.
oleballcoach
it is great. I use it all the time to research lakes and while on the water. The app is also friendly on battery life of your phone. Only problem is screen size and I don't like to hold my phone while out on the water, but if you attach it to your arm with one of those ipod arm bands then you can just glance at it quickly. well worth the $15. ZEEK1223
It looks like you can see other peoples spots that they have marked. Is there a setting or something so the whole world can't see my marked spots?
Deitz Dittrich
Yup, I have yet to put any marks.. But one shares with everybody, and one does not.. LOL
masoct3
Yes, within the settings menu, you can choose to not display your locations.
CAMAN
You don't need to go into the settings to prevent the app from sharing your spots. If you look on the list of options after you tap to add a location there are two things you can do, one is add an Object, and the other is add to Favorites. Add an object will share with everyone, which is good for adding safety markers like rocks, thin ice, etc. Add a favorite will only be visible on your device and great for hotspots, etc.

MN BassFisher
I bought it like a month ago. I'm a fan as well. I've been using it for depths, contours, and to track my routes on the water. I think I will use it a whole lot this winter for ice fishing!
bASS_BLASTER
I have it on the Android HTC. Love it!! Serves well during ice season but not 100% accurate.

There is a discussion down in the computers forum about this issue. Apparently they removed Lakes: North from the AppStore, but may be doing like what they did for Apple apps and combining all the Navionics apps into one. Stay tuned, I've got an email out to the developers, we'll see what they say.
pushbutton
Hmmnn! That would be unfortunate if they bundle it and charge more money. It was perhaps the best 13 dollars i have ever spent. It is a great application, and use it a lot for checking out spots when i am bored at work As Bass Blaster mentioned it is not accurate to the tee, especially in years like this with abnormal water levels, but it is an invaluable tool for identifying potential areas that might hold fish.....be it hard or soft water. CAMAN
Just found this on Navionics Facebook -Quote:The Android Lakes: US East app was removed from the market. It is not available at this time due to copyright contracts. We are resolving and will keep you posted on facebook. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.I assume this is the reason North is gone alsoEdit: and if I bothered to scroll a little further downQuote:‎@Mike The Android Lakes: US North app was removed from the market. LOL...yep! I do the same at work. You guys may be right. For $19, it was just as good at a $100 chip. I have a hunch they might jack up the price for the new ones. Eric_Kruger
Us central looks like it covers most of the area I would fish just nothing in the NW part of the state. Might have to give that a whirl.
river_rogue
I purchased this app for my phone and could not reload it after reactivating my phone so i sent them an email and received this response."Due to recent agreements with the Canadian Hydrographic Service, Navionics is currently conducting updates for Canadian cartography. This app is currently not available through the Android Market. We hope to have this coverage area available for purchase in the near future. If you need any additoinal information, please ask."
