Quote:
Kyle Busch was put into a headlock and punched several times by famed team owner Richard Childress before falling to the ground, according to several people with direct knowledge of an altercation that occurred after the Kansas Truck Series race on Saturday.

Busch, who had raced hard with Richard Childress Racing's Joey Coulter late in the event, was confronted by Childress in the garage following the race.

According to several sources, Childress removed his watch and handed it to grandson Austin Dillon before walking up to Busch.

Childress apparently didn't like what he heard from Busch upon speaking with the driver, and the 65-year-old grandfather placed Busch in a headlock and punched him two or three times.

Busch then went to the ground in a defensive position to avoid further injury, but Childress attempted to punch Busch again after he rose.

SPEED's Ray Dunlap reported Busch may have suffered a black eye in the incident.

Seems Candypants can upset about all but cannot take care of an older gentleman.

No suprise.

It is no suprise that someone dropped Kyle but I never thought it would be an old man.

Kyle has about zero friends on the track and just another reason why he still needs to grow up.

The kid can drive but he is always trying to run someone over and he will be taken care of soon on the track.

A lesson has to be sent to let him know he is not the God he believes he is.

Gotta be a Busch brother thingie.

I thought maybe this season he may have grown up a bit on the track but no, long ways to go yet.

Don't worry guys...someday your driver might win as many races as Kyle has! smile

I believe I would quit cheering for a driver if it had to be the chimp.

Maybe an older lady might knock him out next time. C'mon, Grandma Childress, would make a great telivised fight for Grandma.

Walking up and sucker punching a guy who is on probation all while fighting Delana's husbands battles for him. Maybe it's just me, but I would think punching an elderly man back is the equivalent to hitting a girl or child.

Sounds cowardly to me.

Candyland has been sucker punching people on the track for a long time now and it goes beyond the Harvick incident. He was way past due for a beat down and RC felt that enough is enough after the truck race yesterday. He warned Candyland about it some time ago but the arrogant little punk didn't heed the warning. Now he has a sore head and looks like a bigger fool than he already was after getting pounded on by a senior citizen.

C'mon Sled, if Kyle was not so childish to hit people on the tracl all the time, these things would not happen.

The rumor told on TV this am is that Richard Childress has talked to Kyle and asked him to please not run into the Childress cars all the time.

Kyle seems to ignore those requests so someone has to take the fool down a notch.

let's face it, like him or not, Kyle is a hot headed fool and since NASCAR hasn't the you know what to deal with it, others will.

If you want to take cheap shots at people and continue, they will come back at you.

I have always said if though Kyle is a good racer that he will never win a Cup championship as he needs to grow up.

There is not 1 driver on the circut that would not take him out to stop him from winning a championship.

The only question to yet be answered is who will take him out or punch him out.

I like what Helton said today. Kyle did nothing wrong and has not broken his probation.

From what I have seen in the last 2 weeks is Kyle banging on Childress cars. I guess that is not adding fuel to the fire.

Of course NASCAR likes this as it brings more people to watch the races.

I also like what DW stated, the boys will take care of this on the grounds as going to the NASCAR trailer solves nothing.

It would make my day if anyopne punted this fool into the wall and I am really against that type of racing. The dude has it coming and it is way overdue.

It's too bad that Kyle drives other drivers to take action on and off the track due to his actions.

He is all boy and really needs to grow up.

I cannot believe Joe Gibbs racing allows this.

Kbb, there are very few drivers that have never moved a car.

I also believe that almost all will agree that Kyle Busch seems to be in the middle of these situations.

That's being about as honest as one can be.

One typically sews what he seeds and Kyle needs help there.
