I have followed the Twins for the majority of my life and this past 2 weeks has really suprised me.

With all the key players injured and the way the starting pitching and the hitting was going, I was truely ready to give them up for dead.

I have no idea how this season will turn out but they sure have started to make this interesting for sure.

The starting pitching as of late has been great and the bullpen has been doing a pretty good job also.

My question is, when Span and Kubel get back, do we start Young or do we keep Revere in. He has been hitting pretty good and he can really run those balls down and make some awesome catches. The one issue I see with Revere is his arm throwing in from the outfield.

Yes, Delmon has been around alot longer but the lack of hussle seems to be an issue as of late along with his bat.

If and when Mauer can get his bat going and Morneau and Thomes get back, they could make a run for the division. We also need a few others to crank it up like Cassila has.

I guess one can never count the Twins out in thier division.

Delmon's bat which as expected is coming around lately will be in the line-up one way or another. You can book that. Other than that I agrre with most of your post.

I don't see us catching Detroit but we are fun to watch and anything can and will happen in baseball!

I agree DonBo. Young seems to not hustle on some plays and Revere is always going full throttle. He can bat as well or so it seems at this pooint and may run faster on the bases.

It's a no brainer for me to have Revere in the outfield and sit Young down.

I see Revere as our center fielder. Span to left and Young as trade bait for a reliever.

I'm certainly not sold on Revere at this point but he has shown some potential. I would think Cuddyer who's stock is as high as ever would be a good trade value at the present time. We just aren't going to be able to pay him the money he will command even at a home town discount with the way our payroll is these days.!

I don't see any possible way we are going to give up Delmon for a reliever.

Gardy and the entire Twins organization love Cuddy. I believe he'll be a Twin till he retires. With all the holes he's been able to fill over the years he's pretty valuable to the Twins. Besides his defense, right now he's one of just a couple real threats on offense. Be silly to let that go IMHO.

That would be a disgrace to baseball to have someone with Cuddy's numbers make an allstar team

I see Revere as our center fielder

I completely agree. Revere is much better defensively in CF than Span is. I guarantee that the collective BABIP for our entire pitching staff would drop significantly if we were able to get Delmon out of the field.

I still prefer Span in Center over Revere he catches the ball just as good and his arm which is much more important in center blows Reveres away, actually Revere doesn't have an arm to begin with. But then again Span is much more versatile so it wouldn't be the end of the world if Gardy goes against what he said he was going to do. I don't get caught up in short term samplings and couple of nice catches is my point.

So who would you send to the All Star Game Sled?

Before Kubel got hurt, I thought he was the only Twin that deserved a shot at the All Star game, obviously that's not going to happen now. With the utility spot now part of the game, Kuddy seems to be the only other player on the team that makes any sense.

Sledy

I have been following them probably longer than you have been on this earth Sled.

Unless you are 50, I have been watching them longer.

My grandma has been watching the twins since their inception, but the other day she asked me why Jesse Crain hasn't been Pitching.

Will Mauer get in just because of who he is??? If not, I'd say by process of elimination, Cuddy would be the last Twin standing.

IMO, anyone on the Twins that is .030 avg and 9 RBIs ahead of Delmon and plays everyday deserves a shot..

so he has more RBIs pre game than Young?????

???

???

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
