I'm saying right now UMD will be in the Frozen Four. I'm pulling for all WCHA teams unless of course there playing UND smile. I would like to see a BC/UNO game. Blais knows how to beat Jerry York's teams. That was the last time UND beat BC...I think.

Yah, St louis jumps out as the hardest. Tough teams there.

Green bays could be a cake walk for the Sioux, Depends what Denver team shows up.

Looks like the possibility of a lot of inter conference games

St. Louis looks like the region of doom. It's always amazing how the NCAA likes to screw the WCHA. 4 teams in two regions.

BC fans are livid that they actually have to travel this year instead of having their regional within 150 miles (and they still don't show up).

THANK YOU NCAA committee for moving UMD out east. Not that it will matter if UMD plays anything like the last 2 periods of the BSU game. But I'm still glad that we have a better chance of advancing. Not that Yale is a cake walk, but I would choose to play them over the other 3.

UND should travel well to Green Bay, I would expect a decent following. In the past I'd predic that UND will have a rematch against DU in the region final, but I'm not so sure. Bummer that the WCHA's top 2 teams got matched up together, but one of them should advance at least.

We really need to reestablish this conference in national play. They played well in the regular season, but now is when it counts. To have a reasonable chance of a WCHA national title we need at least 2 teams to advance.

I could See 3 WCHA teams in the 4. UNO, UMD, Denver......If they play good. even CC has a chance if they continue how they played against nodak.

Im used to it now. The WCHA isnt going get any favors.

I like the CC BC match up. CC has alot of team speed. If Joe Howe can have a good game but its tough to go against BC on second thought. If I was putting money on that region I would go with BC in a heart beat. As much as I would love to see them lose especially to a WCHA team. Go Tigers, Go Mavs. Anybody else see away of BC losing that region? I say great goaltending is the most crucial to beat the Eagles.

Sure I could see the Mavericks doing it. They acutally played pretty well the 2nd half this year except when they had to play the Beavers. CC looked pretty tough against UND also. Best case BC has to get by both teams if UNO wins their opener. I would go 50/50 on BC coming out of that final if that's the case. Good for you if they lose, right?

I would be lying if I said that BC hasn't just own UND but really they have owned the NCAA tourament. I can only think of one WCHA team that has beat BC in the NCAA, Wisconsin 2006 final. If UND won this year without playing BC I don't know if it would feel complete for me. I'm not just a UND fan this time of year. I pull for all the WCHA teams in this tourney. No selfish reasons here Solbes. Making any plans for Bridgeport Con?

Hopefully they show the games on ESPNU or ESPN2. I think UND's games are schedule on ESPN3 which our cable company doesn't even offer. I bet something gets work out there.

I just did my bracket/picks. While I will be cheering for as many WCHA teams in Frozen Four as possible, I have to make my picks based on what I think will happen.

In the East Region, I have Yale beating UMD in the regional final. I don't think Miami will have any trouble coming out of the Northeast Region. I think the West Region will be tough for the WCHA; I see Michigan beating BC in that region final.

The Midwest Regional will end up being a Denver-UND rematch. As much as I would love to see UND win it all this year (if it is indeed the last year they can use the Sioux nickname), I think Denver wins the rematch.

Frozen four: Denver over Michigan, Miami over Yale. Denver over Miami for the Championship.

Looks good, I havent done mine yet.

We should figure out a way to do a bracket here.

Solbes, you are likely the smartest in this group. Is there an online bracket or a way to do it. Or do we all just say our picks.

I tried to find a site where you could select your winners online and then post the results. Failed! I like the Siouxsports one but don't you have to register. If someone else sees something easier, I'm game. Below is my best attempt. Just copy and paste and of course don't forget to change your winners under each regional.

Jag - Your championship game prediction isn't even possible. BC and UND are on the same side of the bracket. It probably will be the championship game (just like the 80 olympics - USA vs. USSR in the semis) as the other side of the bracket doesn't stand a chance grin

This sucks - I have the exact same picks as cbrooks.

I might have to switch a game just to be different. Merrimack instead of Notre Dame will be my different pick I guess.

I'm going back and forth on the UNO/BC regional final game. You can keep your Notre Dame pick if you want.

Man, don't guys work. I swear all you do is play on this dumb hockey HSOforum.....I might just be mad because I actually don't have time today.

By the way, my wife always says that to me. She hates this site

Nope, yep, and mine too.

I've been so addicted to the hockey forum this year, I will be going through withdrawl fits come May. Luckily I should be fishing again so I can return to the more standard fishing forums.

Also huge progress this year, but we need some further college hockey representation. A good mix is what makes it a lot of fun.

Let's see, Gophers check. UND Big check, seems like everyone's a Sioux fan this year wink Duluth check. Bemidji check. Saint Cloud check. Do we have a Badger fan here, if not that's weird? How about Mankato? Wasn't someone here a Denver fan? How about CC, Tech, or AA?
