Tip for you guys...after we get done skinning a deer we come across with a propane torch and lightly go across the outside. It helps burn up all the loose hairs and also firms up some of the entry/exit area slop. I hang head down but that is because I use chains and a tractor usually to process my deer. Then when I work Head to Tail I can keep dropping Hydraulics so I don't have to start the tractor but then when I split the hind quarters both are hanging solo.

Yea there ya go Picks. Shootin the deers only half the fun, tracking, dragging, and butchering is the other half. Its nice to turn on the country music, crack a brew, and butcher some deer with your friends or famliy

The difference between the north and the south is the size of our deer and the fact that you can't drive a pickup truck right to them up here. I can't imagine dragging a 220# buck out of the woods ungutted.
