Got drawn for 214B. After learning last season I am now ready to get my first. I only hope they make the winter well.

Same results for me both times. Sorry...Oh, well, I wouldn't know what to do with an early season turkey that hasn't heard it all and seen it all before I get there. It's much more challenging in mid-May.

I drew 348b with no preference, but site says preference level 2, last year I was successful but ended up not buying a tag due to a TX trip. I thought if you were successful in lottery the preference point did not carry over.....I am confused but happy to draw

Remember 12 years ago with no surplus and waiting years to get a tag in 348 non landowner. Time have changed and for the better with regards to turkey opportunities.

Just remember that there are still surplus tags and the last two seasons are over the counter this year even for us shotgun hunters. No need to be too disappointed as I've killed more birds late season than I ever have in the early ones.
