I have been catching a lot of eyes on Rattle jigs and fatheads. I really like the gold Rattle jigs by Jrs because the lower pitched Rattle really seems to work great in the dingy water of the St.Louis River where I fish a lot. The green/blue rattle jig has been hot too.
We trolled spinners to a 3rd place in the Grand Slam Tourney Sat/Sun and the rattle beeds were the ticket on those too.

On Kabby 1/4 oz jig and a rainbow minnow has produced what meager bite I had on opener & last weekend. I did manage to crank out a couple of smallies using fire tiger shad raps. On Vermillion a jig an minnow produced lots of small W's and dock fishing slip bobbers at night for some bigger ones. St. Louis River naked jig and any type of minnow produced a good bite up by 23.

Slo-poke jig head (over 3/8 oz with all this wind) and the biggest fattest fathead in the minnow box. This is what I've had the best luck with since opener.I've tried everything under the sun and this is the only way I can get them to bight.Drift very slow !

A buddy of mine has been doin very well with shiners under a slip. (just an F.Y.I)
