The Packers just signed Ted Thompson to an extention and are working on doing the same for Mike McCarthy. Didn't say how long Ted's contract was for but they're guessing it adds 3 more years to his cuurent deal which would keep him in Green Bay til 2016.

In other news, WR coach Jimmy Robinson has agreed to a deal to coach the Cowpuke's WR's. Kind of a lateral move but he's expected to be given some other offensive duties along with coaching the WRs.

AJ Hawk, Donald Lee & Derrick Martin were all released. Hawk was due $10 million for next year. That being said, supposedly they are very close to a new multi-year deal and Hawk wants to stay with the Pack.

He's not splashy, but very steady and played very well during the run. It will be good to lock him up for a few more years. Of course that means there is a good chance they will cut Barnett now, who can't stay healthy anymore.

Supposedly signing a 5 year deal today. Details not released yet.

McCarthy had three years added to the two years remaining on his contract. So he is contracted for five more years, same as TT.

JJ revealed that he was tendered. No details were given. I doubt its a high level tender.
