KVD Big Bass Challenge vs. Rapala Pro Bass Fishing 2010

Anybody have anything good or bad to say about these 2 video games? If you've played both, which would you recommend??

I bought the Rapala game for my kid (hahaha) for Christmas, so if you can hang on for a few days I'll give you a firsthand scouting report on it. I mean my son will tell me about it. Yeah...that's it.

I had Rapala game for a weekend and sold it, but then again, I never like any fishing video games, expect them to be perfect

I loved the Black Bass game for the Nintendo way back in the day...very entertaining.

Did a little research yesterday and found that the new version of the Rapala game has been out since early Fall and the few reviews that I came across were positive. The trailer for it looks pretty cool too. The KVD game came out in November. Can't find any reviews for it so far but I did find a youtube trailer and it looks pretty lame compared to the Rapala trailer.

I've fished all the previous Rapala games and they were junk. It was a crappy game geared to shamelessly sell Rapala lures. I can't imagine the 'new' one would be any different.

The Trophy Bass series of games was the best imo.

I loved the orignial Trophy Bass game (like 12 yrs ago) but haven't played any since... I played "The Strike" on Xbox360 and it was cool but got old fast. I wish they could be fun again but my taste must have changed.

On another note, I have an idea (way out there) for a system you could feed line into from a real fishing rod and simulate a fishing experience. There are many obstacles in the concept that I don't have the skillset to overcome though... I would guess others have though of it as well.

i have the rapala game and it definitely looks alot better than the kvd one. The rapala game is one of the better fishing games ive played. its fun but its too easy. took me less than 6 hours to get to 90% completion.

I always described the fish as size 1 to size 5. Those size 5 bass were practically impossible to land. I think I've managed to boat only 1 of about 300 that I hooked, and the fight time was like 2 hours.

The super nintendo black bass was my favorite, the new rapala game for wii is fun too, I mean when else are you going to catch multiple 10lbers in a day and have a fair chance at a 30lber lol

Played the Rapala game this weekend. It seems really strange that they call it a bass game and there is very little bass fishing. Good graphics but the audio with Mark Fischer gets a little annoying.
