tacklejunkie
I do. After finding mouse nestings and chewing on tents and sleeping bags, they now come inside in the off season. For those that still store their gear in a garage, how did or do you keep the mouse damage away? Powerstroke
My tents and most camping supplies are in the garage but they are in tupperware bins and the sleeping bags are in the large laundry bags or hanging in the closet. I haven't had any problems with mice yet, but I know they are around.
Redlantern
After getting a nasty hole chewed in my favorite tent, I store them inside. I'm thinking about getting a plastic bin big enough to hold my tents and sleeping bags.
Duffman
They go into the gear closet under the stairs. Outdoor clothes, boots, tents, cots, and sleeping pads are in there. I keep all the sleeping bags, loose and not in a stuff sack in a monster storage tote that gets tucked back in the closet. Generally anything chewable stays inside. Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Had a tent weld itself together because of heat build up once. Tent manuals say to store in a cool, dry location. That would be my basement
Xplorer
Ditto, nearly all camping gear is stored in the basement year-round. Those little BOS's can get into about anything left in the garage.
Ralph Wiggum
I keep it all in the basement.
bobbers_down
I keep it all in the basement, inside of rubbermaid containers and keep the sleeping bags and tents unrolled and loosely packed.
The_Diesel
Don't know if it would help or not, but I have heard mice don't like fabric softener sheets. Dad used to put them in the basement, along with all the traps. Found less mice after he put them around the basement than before he had them. Not sure if putting those in with your gear would help at all or not, just thought I'd share.
