Walleye and Pike hybrid

so i'm in the boat today, and after landing a nice size eater pike it hit me...is there a walleye and pike hybrid? i wonder what that fish would look like? has anyone else thought about this, or am i just spending way too much time thinking about fishing?

BTW...i was sober when i had this thought...maybe i shouldn't spend too much time sober from now on...he he!

I'd try spending less time sober Seriously though, walleye and pike are too distantly related to form a hybrid. Walleye and perch would be more likely, but still not possible. Walleye and zander may work, and could make some bigger fish.

You're not so far off. A while ago, the Michigan Game and Fish tried to breed a new game fish. They crossed a Coho Salmon with a Walleye and got a Cowal. Then, to make it a great fighting fish, they crossed the Cowal with a Muskie. That gave them a Cowalski. But it was so dumb that they had to teach it how to swim. I'm sorry, but its a really old joke.

I have been telling that joke to my Polish relatives in Chicago for years and they don't get it. I think that's almost as funny as the joke. Maybe we should have a forum for fishing and hunting jokes.
