Coaches

Since I could post this in all 4 categories, I just choose this one for now.

What's with Minnesota's selection for coaches?

Twins-Gardy, nice, but too nice, seems to be disconnected to his players except for a chosen few.

Vikings-Childress, does he really have a clue what he is doing?

Gopher Football-Brewster, are we serious?

Wild-Richards, jury is still out, but did not see what the team was last year, what is going to be their identity?

Twolves-Rambis, is he going to have anybody to work with? We'll see.

Just seems like we are the state to excel to average....

It's definitely not pretty. I wanted Mario Tremblay to replace Jacques. Wanted no part of Childress, Gardy would look nice with a bonafide "ace". Rambis and the gang are far from dethroning anybody in the NBA. Brewster is really locking up his strengths, in recruiting. It isn't A+ in the MN coaching world. Think the Yankee's have a HSO sports forum, wonder what they talk about.

I still like Gardy... he is worth keeping. Although we never do well in the playoffs, at least we have been making the post season the past few years. Ya gotta give him that

Not as big of a Childress hater as some people on this forum, but he has to go. After this season the Vikes are gonna need to make some major changes... which includes a new head coach.

Don't follow hockey or basketball that much....

Brewster is terrible, I'll give you that.

Not a hockey fan, I have no opinion on Richards.

Really hard to judge Rambis with the rag-tag team he inherited.

Childress...I can see how most people don't like him. But it is really hard to argue with his results. His record has improved every year since taking over the team. This year will be the exception - but the season isn't over yet so it's too early to call this year a failure.

Gardy...most likely wins Manager of the Year - and we have people calling for his head too. These people must complain their ice cream is too cold.

I'll argue with Chilly's results, is it chilly's mastery of football that had us improving in wins each year or has our talent increased ? most pro-bowlers last year, no superbowl trip, same as Denny Green years back, if Favre wouldn't have come in our record would not have been improved last year(he had statistically his best year ever. I'd say in the NFL the window is short and for us looks to be possibly closing and after a good year usually in for a nasty schedule which is what we have. Look at both road games thus far, at superbowl champs to start the year and then to MNF against AFC title game from a year ago Jets. Check there future schedule. The best news is the NFC north is wide open and no one in the NFC looks unbeatable. Some team will rise to the top, could be us, but here come the injuries against very physical teams(Cedric Griffin). Nothing against Chilly as Bud Grant couldn't bring 1 home here, but i think a cowher or gruden would get more out of the guys then chilly hiding behind a plastic play sheet that Favre will audible out of anyway.

Gardy- gone, 2 yrs to long. Has to many favorites proven cant motivate players. Brewster- gone, 3 years to long and while we are at it, fire Maturi to. Richards- wait a year or 2, previous management spent to much money on average players. Chilly- gone, besides Brew, probably the worst coach/decisions making coach i have ever seen. Rambis-stay, love the black rims and shorty shorts. Luchia, however you spell it, stay or gone should win a title every other year.

It's not hard to argue at all, what coach in the NFL couldn't improve a team that was 6-10 with a team loaded with superstars on both sides of the ball? The owner basically has gave him permission to get whatever we need whenever we need it.

The coaching lost us the championship game last season and have got us off to a slow start, you can't really think we are creative and adjust through out a game do you?
