This bow or that bow...

I think the turbohawk is a cast riser version of the alphamax, more or less. I shot and loved the alphamax and hoyt makes probably the best engineered bows (thats what an engineer told me once anyway).

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

The draw cycle is radically different on the two bows though. Do you really find them equivalent??? The PSE is a hard draw initially whereas the Hoyt has softer cams and an easier draw. For a hunting bow I much prefer soft cams.

I should clarify. I can tell the difference in the draws, as they are two complete different cycles. I guess one doesnt jump out at me as better than the other. "Is the extra 30 fps really that big of deal?" is what keeps going through my head. Any thoughts on speed?

If you can't care less, then the question should be do I want 30fps less?

WHen I was buying a new bow in '08 I was stuck between the Hoyt and PSE. I ended up choosing the xforce. It is lighter by almost half a pound and was quite a bit faster. Otherwise I also felt they were equal in my hands. I don't mind the draw cycle. its not harsh, its just heavy from the beginning.

I say get the xforce, but its completely up to you.

This one's a no-brainer for me-- if they feel the same otherwise, figure out which one is quieter. The quieter bow is the easy choice for me. The 30 fps isn't meaningless, just really close to that...

Quiet, feels good to me, and reputable product name (both of your choices are)=good bow to me!

Good luck!
