NTW
I am thinking about installing a recessed pedal tray in my Champion 181. For a reasonable cost, it seems like it would provide a lot of added comfort, stability and one less thing to trip on. I've seen three different makes - Comfortroll, Trolleze, and Troll Well.My trolling motor is minnkota maxxum pro and each brand claims to be designed to work with it.Any advice from others who have experience would be much appreciated! TR21HP
NTW Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. They are all quality trays and the only thing scary is cutting into the boat. You will notice a huge difference in the recessed tray vs. conventional - just on fatigue and balance in heavier water alone. Another plus is when going across the water the trolling motor base isn't bouncing around beaking rod tips on the deck - when the wife puts her rod on the deck the wrong way! Deitz Dittrich
I too have no advice for you, but going from a boat that did not to a boat that did have a recessed tray is night and day.. LOVE IT!

Cecil
Its a VERY good upgrade that I suggest everyone do. One of those things you will notice right away and when you get in a boat that doesnt have one, it feels like you got a lil captain in ya... NTW
Ha - that's great Cecil! I've had some near misses and interesting stances towards the end of a long day because of the pedal which have lead to me giving this a closer look. For no great reason I am leaning toward Comfortroll. From searching other forums, it seems that nobody has been disappointed with the product of any company mentioned.
