lawdog
Tom that kid of yours is a serious hot shoe!!! For those that don't know, there are literally hundreds of cars at Boone every day of the week at the IMCA Supernationals. Its one of the biggest dirt track shows of the year. To run even close to the front in those races is a monumental task. WAY TO GO #74!!!!
Eric Wettschreck
What Lawdog said.Clint can seriously drive. He's got the set up, the motor, the car, and he can flat out drive the thing.
harvey lee
The races started a bit early today due to the threat of rain. There are 8 Stock Car heats and then Clint's heat which is heat #4. He is starting inside row 3 for his heat tonight.
harvey lee
Clint just started his heat race in row 3 and won the race. He will now run the A main qualifier tonight. The top 8 will make the big show Saturday. This was a huge heat win. This was his 3rd win this week at Boone.Clint will start the A main inside row 2. bbqhead
How much can they so to the engines? Performance wise..randy
harvey lee
One has to run a flat tappet motor and one has to remember the winner has to give his motor up after the A main win.
Papa Grump
I think top 4 have to give up their engine at the Nationals.. You can put as much money into it as you want.. but I would say that if you want to run up front plan on spending at least 4 grand.. buy really good pistons and get some really good heads that flow and run it lean as you dare.BUT you gotta have a car that can handle it all.Drivers like Clint and Kenny can set their cars up and get up on the wheel and make it work.. harvey lee
I think they changed the number of motors to the 1st one or winner Brian. When I talk to Clint I will ask.In regards to Clints A Main qualifier last night after 2 rain delays, Clint won his heat and started to lap cars when a yellow came out. I was glad to see the yellow fly as lap cars at times can cause many issues. The announcer said last night that Clint was so far ahead of second that he was in another zip code. So, for Saturday's main events, Clint will be on the front row for the Super National's main event and I do not know yet where he starts for his Race of Champion's main event. This has to be one of the best weeks of racing Clint has ever enjoyed winning 4 races at Boone. When they auction the motors in Boone from the modifieds, I believe that they will sell the better ones for around $6-7 thousand and that's used of course. Some have quite a bit more than that in them.
Eric Wettschreck
He's hooked up that's for sure.I'll be wearing my Clint Hatlestad T-shirt today for support.Go get em, Clint!!!!!

I know there are people spending 10-15 grand for someone's non calibrated dyno numbers... and if your smart you can get the same horses for 4 grand too , just doesn't last as long.Best of luck to Clint!!
