water temp gauge ?

hi i dont have a temp gauge on my fish finder. what could i use thats portable and doesnt break the bank thanks

I bought one years ago that was a tube with a hole in it and a thermometer inside. You lowered it down and let it sit for a short time. Somehow it gave the depth you were at and the temp of that water. Of course I don't remember more other than I think I may have gotten at Cabelas. Frankly it seems more important to me to know the temp at X depth than to know that the surface foot is at Y degrees.

Get a swimming pool thermometer. They are quite portable and easy to use. I used on for year before I had a depth finder with a temp gauge.

Depending on the fish finder you have, you might be able to get a transducer with a temperature sensor ......

Get a depth therm from vexilar.

It'll tell you depth and temp.

I went to the vex HSOforum and didn't find anything about depth therm.
