trolling motor battery

Didn't someone once state in other threads that most marine batteries are manufactured by one or two companies? If this is true, I suspect that brand will not be the best criteria to use for making the decision. Each brand however may offer different levels of quality and this will likely be reflected in the warranty they offer along with the battery.

Not an expert but I'm guessing way, way more then one or two companies manufacture batteries. True, cabela, gander, fleet farm and other Store name batteries are probably just stamped logos but there tons of manufactures out there....world wide.

I have used them all and Interstates are all I use anymore, would use Delcos if they were easier to get around me. I almost didn't buy my current rig due to it having Everstarts in it, 1 has been replaced already and betting the other 2 will be by this time next year and they were new last season.

BobT, I have a friend who works for a battery manufacturer in Iowa. He stated the same thing this summer. There are only 2 or 3 manufacturers in the US. They have a room at the plant that has all the different names their batteries are labeled as........he uses interstate as well......
