Isn't Pandora free? I've never paid for it.

the free version has commercials and only let's you skip 6 times an hour and limits you to 40 hours per week.

The paid version has unlimited skipping, zero commercials and unlimited airtime. I've never needed to pay for it either, but those that live with the radio on love the paid version.

I use the gmail icon for my personal mail and have the mail app set up for my work gmail account. The mail app is better because the icon shows me how many messages are in my inbox without even needing to go there. I wish the gmail app did that.

Same here. I have a folder with three different Gmail labels and a Yahoo account but mostly use the notification bar. Only if I'm looking for an older email is when I will use the labels I have set up.

It is ad free, though I do think they probably sell your email addy since that's one of the first things they ask for. But there are some out there that aren't looking to make a buck and make apps for the fun of programming.

Does anyone know of an Android App that will allow the GPS settings to be turned on when put into the car dock, then automatically turned off when taken out of the car dock?

Will "Locale" do that? Or does that just turn your ringer / notifications off and on depending on where you're at?

Search in the Market for "cardock GPS", there are a few of them. I just downloaded the 30 day trial of Carhome to try out, just got all the settings figured out and am liking the layout of it. There are also ones like Mycardock, Car Dock Home, Car Dock Settings, etc...

I'm loving the hot-spot app that came with my MyTouch 4g phone. My wife can surf the net on her WIFI only iPad while we travel for free.

My internet at the office went down the other day (Frontier), but I was able to connect using my phones hot-spot with a wireless USB antenna on my work computer. Saved my bacon that day!

Did I mention that this is a free service on T-Mobile? At least it is on my plan & phone. Great app

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but there is now a Netflix App for Android. I DL'd it this morning and watched a few things.

Over WiFi, I was very impressed. Not one hiccup.

The Amazon App Store is worth downloading just for the free app of the day. Everyday they have a different pay app featured for free. Most of them are games, which are usually quite decent, but also quite a few are utility apps.

Google "Amazon App Store" on your phones browser or search for it on Amazon. Provide them with your phone number, they will then text message you a link to start the download. You also need an Amazon account.

In fact they had "Big Sport Fishing 3D" featured the other day. Normally a $4 app in the Android Market for free!

I gave a review earlier this year on the FishNotes app, and after using it for half a year, I decided it was lacking in some areas as I use it for tracking Catfish.

I found a better (and cheaper) replacement with "The Fishermans Log". It seems more user intuitive and has a couple more options I like (girth measurement) and few less bugs.

The strange thing I noticed however is that the free version provides the barometric pressure but not the paid version...weird. BUT the free version logs coordinates, but you can't view those details when you back and view your livewell, so I purchased the paid version.

Not sure if anyone mentioned them:

my weather mobile- to me, I like it better than weatherbug.

Gas Buddy- very current gas prices around you, or type in zip and it will give you that town, and nearby towns gas prices.

My dad is in his mid 60's and some of the things my phone does blow his mind. I showed him gasbuddy the other day and he was fiddling around with it for awhile.

Google Music

Signed up for an invite about a week ago and just got my permission email from Google to join up. This is a cloud based service where you dump your music to the cloud so you can access it on your mobile device or web browser. Right now it is pulling all my songs from iTunes (with artwork) which does take some time. Its been running for about 24 hours now and should finish tomorrow around 5pm by my estimation (4000+ songs). If you are running Android this is a slick way to pull your music library to your mobile device or give you the ability to listen while at a PC without itunes and not having to carry an iPod around.
