This guy is unbelievable. He had over 20 lbs and decided to cull down to 16 lbs because his fish were starting to die. Ended up weighing 3 dead fish anyway! Russ Lane beat him by 3 ounces...

What would you do? For $60k and a chance at angler of the year, I would have let the big ones die. They probably ended up dead anyway after all the stress.

Gotta respect a guy who respects the resource. Though, was he doing it because he actually cared or because he was hoping he wouldnt bring dead fish to the scales? Whats the penalty for a dead fish?

I had read online that he had a lot of ice that he was putting in his livewell.. said livewell temps were 20 degrees cooler than the lake water.. Shocked the fish to death. Lesson learned.
