How many sites you guys running?

Recommended Posts

I found a really good site yesterday but will run two just to have an option. Found some claw marks on a couple of trees and also found some bear beds with scat around. The berries are unreal this year.

Depends on how many hunt with us...We usually never make less then four to start (two hunters) if 4 hunters we'll probably only make 5-6 cause it can be a pain. by the end of baiting to the start of hunting, we usually have one per hunter with one back-up total.

You talking about the woods on Cty. Rd. 8 between Zipple Resort and the long point rd? I have thought of scouting there also. I have heard it is really thick and alot of puppy dogs in there from people. There is some state land that is just north of zipple bay that I am thinking of (hoping)trying. Also another spot I am thinking of is some state land on the south side of cty. 11 between rocky point rd. and long point rd. Look really thick, alot of tamarack. Hopefully I will see some sign this weekend. I also know there is some state forest land that buts right up to zipple state park, may have to give that a looksee.
