DoubleLunger
I actually believe that the wheeler noise helps. Let me explain. On numerous occasions i have had bear on the camera less than 30 minutes after leaving the bait site. The bears get used to the noise of the wheeeler aka dinner bell and start headin over. Thats why the 2 guys in 1 guy out method works so well.
Boar
Totally agree with that, one thing that also works well is to hang one primary stand an one satelite stand, if you are having trouble getting yogi to come in for a picnic. Playing the wind, have your partner sit in teh primary stand, an you in the satelite stand that has never been used till now, half hour before sunset you partner climbs down an leaves, telling yogi you have left the building, an all is clear to eat. jay83196
So If you can't drive to it make same noise each time, bring a chain saw and run for minute?
Boar
just bang your buckets to gether going an coming, whistle, cough, sing. what ever. just do it everytime. I have a wheel barrow that is just the ticket for baiting an I have tied soup cans close together, an they rattle an clang as I go along, a nice dinner bell. cherokee
Sometimes after we are done hunting and have taken a bear off of a site we back track it to see where it was coming from. The boar I shot came from 150 yards away but some of the others taken by my party were bedding close. Most beds were 50-100 yards away. If you ever get that feeling that you are being watched when refilling the bait well guess what? you probably are. Noise or not I bet the bear knows or sees you refilling the bait station. jay83196
That's spooky, I always get nerved out approaching my spots last year was my first so I'm sure will get less with time. Maybe that's part of attraction to it...
leech~~
leech, I live in Eden Prairie. I could take it off your hands if you want to give it away. Otherwise I have a source at a pizza place but haven't got around to getting it.thanks,Dale Dale, maybe we can work out a pickup time or spot. Weekends are not good because I'm out of town just about everyone, but maybe after work some evening or Fridays I get off work at about 10:00AM. Or I could just leave it outside the garage and you could pick it up when ever. Got a little time before baiting starts. pineconesta @ usfamily . com

Just remember when you hunt go in like you are baiting with 2 people they bait make the same noise you sneek into the stand they leave no talking to the baiter, just stay quiet and get into the stand the other makes all the noise coming and going.
