iphone or Android

Recommended Posts

Well on my PC I multitask heavily, and I like to re-skin my Windows interface so without a doubt I would get an Android phone. iOS4 really can't multitask (Android's multitasking isn't the greatest but it's still much much better) so that's a huge turn off.

Apple has always made great and dependable hardware, but I've always been turned off by the propritary stuff. Open source and third party influence tips me towards the Android.

I've been looking at the DroidX and might have to pull the trigger when it comes out.

Not a huge fan of the proprietary nature of apple, but they also have the best user experience, especially for the casual user. For me it would be nice to have the convenience of having all of my iTunes/phone functions in one device, but only if it makes it to Verizon and the better network.

All of the Android stuff is pretty nice, but its not perfect either. Kind of a tossup depending on what you need/want. My friend has an Incredible and loves it, but its already been sent back to the factory with a problem.

If you are more techy, I would go with Android, if causal I would go with an iPhone. Corps still tend to go Blackberry. My two cents (that's worth about 25% of that smile )

I own 3 Ipod touch, 2 nanos, typing this response on my Macbook Pro. Absolutely, love them all. I am a huge Apple fan and would have gotten an Iphone if it were not for the At&t network coverage. However, I recently got rid of my Blackberry ([PoorWordUsage]) and bought a Droid by Motorola. Unbelievably impressed with the phone. I bought Droid because I am not willing to pay more for less coverage as is the case with at&t. Verizon has the coverage I need, in fact cannot think of a time I could not get coverage. Either way you will love the phone i promise you that.

Just because I can't have it yet I would love to try a iPhone out myself.

However, given that I am very happy with my android phone I can't say go with the iPhone because it my droid has been really great for me.

If I were to weigh all the pros and cons of each I think I would still have to go with android even though I want to try a iphone. There is a lot of stuff that android does better and you also have options of different phones depending on what setup you like. If you want a physical keyboard you can have it, if you want a huge screen its yours, smaller sized phone sure. Having the option to simply change a discharged battery is really quite basic but huge if that is something you may run into.

I think apple has better quality apps for some stuff since they are so strict with their store. There is a lot of realy hokey stuff on the android market. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't good stuff for android too. Navionics is on android now so I can't really complain about anything.

On my Hero I downloaded an app called iSynch and you choose which songs or play lists you want to keep synched with your phone fom iTunes. As soon as you plug it in to the computer it will update new pod casts and songs on my phone.

I never had or used an iPhone but i'm happy with my droid. I get my work emails righ to the phone, I can surf it may just take a litte longer

I will be picking up my Droid X a week from today. I actually held one a couple days ago and was able to use the browser. The size was an initial issue for me, however after using it and putting it in my pocket, not an issue. I never really thought much about the multitasking until I was using it. Really cool.
