The Stink Is Rising

Now that the stink from our garbage pitching staff is overpowering the air freshener, when are the twins gonna give up on the season and start trading away the spans, kubels, thomes, youngs, and hudsons to cut the payroll and start spouting off the dreaded term "rebuilding process"?

Cripes, we're a quarter of the way through the season and in first place. To come back from that roadtrip and still be in first? Nice work boys. We're about to start inter-league play, and the Twins do some serious stomping against those teams, and we're already in first place? Looking good. They're about to enjoy some home cooking and rock the new place, things feel good. I feel a run coming on.

That said, some of my boys of summer need to seriously pick up their game. And by some I mean a lot. smile

Offense has cooled down, liriano is back to his '09 form, slowey is very dissapointing, blackburn and pavano pitch 2 bad games for every good game, crain is typical crain, an injury or 2 are bound to happen. I don't know, those infamous midseason trades might start to look pretty tempting in the next couple weeks.

No way!! Every team goes through these dry spells. We will pick it up again. Morneau is having a banner year. Joe is hitting well when he's healthy. We've got some added depth and power this year over last. Some key hitters have not really shown their potential yet, Kubel?

Starting pitching is pretty good this year. One guy needs to step it up and the others will follow. I'm not so sure on the relief pitching, but every team has a weakness. The bullpen is ours, and it's no secret. Some of the guys are just really played out on this team, Jesse just happens to be the leading example.

I'm looking for go-go to come back with a vengeance! grin

Cliff Lee doesn't like it in seattle, a trade for him would be nice. Perhaps sign the brett favre of major league baseball...refering of course to Pedro Martinez. Them 2 were the best things philly had going for them in the world series last year.

I just hope we didn't use up all of our clutch hits with bases loaded or RISP situations last night. Nice to see the Twins put up the amount of runs they are capable of WHEN they get those big 2 out or bases loaded hits!
