First timer questions

This is my first time turkey hunting and I have a few questions. I have little expectations this season figuring it would be a good chance to learn a few things and I would fine tune my skills for next year.

Is it ok to move a blind during the season or does it have to sit in the same place so they get used to it?

Sunday morning I had 4 birds gobbling to me from different areas. Monday and this morning they seemed to have moved east of where i'm at. I located them and moved my blind near where I saw them. Hope thats ok.

Shouldn't be an issue moving it especially if you tuck it in the brush or by a tree.

I hunt Friday and still need to get mine out. Still trying to pattern them as they've been changing their movements recently.

for some reason they don't really care that there's a giant new object in the field...

my thoughts are they are very alert birds with great vision, but are not too intelligent processing things smile

I set mine up right in the middle of the fields and the only time I have had problems is if someone else has hunted them and educated them about blinds. As far as set up I normally set up the night before or that morning depends how close to the roost I'm hunting

This was my first year huntin out of a blind. Seen 4 turkeys taken, none of them were concerned about the blind nor were the hens or jakes that were around also. We just set them up the morning of our hunt. On one hunt we had 2 blinds set up side by side, not brushed just set up along treeline.

They are a creature of habit,I just got done scouting tonight for my season that starts friday and they are doing the same thing now that they were during D season including useing the same fence crossing It's alot easier to tell now with the field freashly plowed and the rain so I got my fingers crossed to run a arrow through one friday morning then hooking up the boat and heading to big sandy.

I saw birds everyday and was able to get them to respond to my calls everyday. I didn't get one but I learned alot and look forward to next year.

Today was really fun. Had a jake come in just out of range and called a hen right up to my blind. She seemed mad enough to tear into me.
