Was out thursday afternoon about 10 miles north of Crosslake, in our first rain of the spring. Didn't have too high of hopes with the dry conditions this spring. Wrong!! Hit a low area that usually has a few inches of standing water but was almost dry this year. Never stopped picking. They were everywhere. Picked 7 lbs in 4 hours. Blacks are the best and most flavorful of all.
