Cuddy might be a liability at 3rd, but I think that's his best spot for us right now. That allows us to keep Kubel and Thome in the lineup on a regular basis.

With some combination of Cuddyer, Kubel, Thome, Young hitting 5-8 that's a pretty tough lineup for anyone to face. Taking Kubel or Thome out of the lineup and inserting Valencia or Tolbert makes for a much easier trip through the bottom of our order for the opposing pitcher.

None of this really matters is our pitchers can't get get their acts together.

have to counter this with his error thursday on a rather routine grounder that cost them a run in a one run loss. he definitely did not save them the game or run this time around. he did have a very nice month of june though and hopefully july will be as good because I don't expect gardy to not play him full time any time soon even if his batting avg drops a bunch.
