Shack
I know, rumor But I heard the Vike's are shopping him around and The Raiders are interested. I heard it was for a draft pick(s?). Wouldn't that be something Would it show some crow eating by Sage supports or would it send a message TJ has less value? I personally think T-J is a better QB, I feel the Vikings organization likes him, & he will be a starter again someday in MN (minus an injury or something else). Just my opinion. If this is true, this would almost guaranty (behind the door agreement) that Favre is playing in 2010. Or maybe a McNabb deal in the works lol! Scott K
Well the Vikes placed a 3rd round protection on T-Jack, and NO ONE has made any offers for him. NO one has placed an offer sheet for him. Another team could offer a 3rd rd pick, and pay him a little over 1 million. To get Sage, a team would have to trade a pick, and pay his 3 million salary, and we have interested parties. What does that say about our QB's?I do agree, Favre will be back, he just wants to let the media have their fun!

Personally I just think all this hoop-lala Favre puts out is just a way for him to get out of training camp and not send a message that this is acceptable to fans and other NFL players He may like the spot light (you must like the spot light to even pursue an NFL QB carrier) and who can blame him. Also that cloud is a great cover for the real reason. He is sick and tired of training camp!
JBMasterAngler
I think there is a select few players that earn their right to not have to participate in training camp. Brett Favre is definitely one of them!
mrklean
haha he hates training camp if he comes back it will be after the second preseason game

We have the draft, and not much to talk about. Speculation is what keeps us (you and me) coming back for more.
Kodiak
really bothers me that sage never got any mop up time in any of those games last year..

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted April 16, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted April 16, 2010 Because T-Jack got all the mop-up love leaving all the Sage over T-Jack guys a good helping of crow to eat...ehhhh FG
zepman
If we could get a 4th-6th rounder for TJack in next weekends draft we should be all over it. Use that pick on another developmental guy and let's start over. Robinson, Crompton, Kafka or the dude from West Virginia would all fit the bill nicely. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted April 16, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted April 16, 2010 It's more likely Sage will be traded. I'd like to see Lefevour as our delvelopmental QB. I could see the Vikes picking up McCoy but prefer seeing a CB, DT or OL in that spot. Scott K
I really dont see the Vikes signing Jackson to any sort of contract. Sage has a bigger contract, and hasnt shown he is worth the bigger contract, so either he will be cut, or he will be our backup qb. i just dont see any other team giving up a draft pick, and paying him 6 million over the next 2 years.I agree with Rick about Dan LeFevour, I think he would make a good NFL QB in a couple year. Let him play on the bench behind Favre this season, and I believe he would have a more positive outcome then T-Jack has. Give him a couple years on the bench to learn the speed, and the Vikings system, he will be our future QB. I think we could pick LeFevour up in the 3rd, and use our first 2 round picks on CB, and OL

Shack
The Vikes have already tendered a $1.176 million contract to T-Jack which he signed according to Zulgad. Chilly was quoted even back in March as saying how much he likes T-Jack and what he had seen him become just from TC and last season. I know coaches (and Chilly) can double talk and change things in a weeks time, but I honestly think Chilly wants to see T-Jack start for a full season in the next couple years for the Vike's. As long as Favre is in the loop, Jackson will stay and play second fiddle. I know! I know! The rumor was the shop-o-round for him did not pop up much interest. If someone could post even an article about this I would possibly believe this is true. Sorry if I missed it being posted already. By what Rick posted it sounds as if T-Jack is sticking around. IMO another sign of another season with Favray being our QB.
