Rapala electric fillet knife

Chapo

Question

I have the cheaper/older Rapala rechargeable electric fillet knife that has the battery pack containing 4-AA type batterys. The battery pack won't hold a charge anymore and can't find a replacement at stores and/or online with Rapala. Batteries plus can build me one for $20. Any ideas where else I can find one? Thanks

Will yours run if you have the AC adapter attached ? or even the 12V adapter ? I used mine 3 times and now it will not run and there HSOforum is pretty useless if you want any repair info. I think that I will just stick to my Leech Lake knife grin Arm powered.

I had the same one, and sorry to say, but it's about as good as junk now.

Mine went in the trash.

You can possibly get by a bit cheaper by making your own battery Pak, but for all the hassle, I'd just go buy a new one. I know it sucks, and I personally won't be buying another cordless version again. Even when it did have a strong battery it was underpowered at best.

Pick up a corded version, or at least one that has dual options.

the green and yellow (not sure if I can say the brand name, I haven't seen them as a sponsor on here)

Mister Twister?

I haven't run a Mister Twister, but have had my corded Rapala now for a couple of years and have been very happy with it... especially with the 12V or 110V option.

My buddy has the same knife and just got the battery pack from batteries plus. He has been happy with the performance while the batteries are good.

Once these go out, I think he will upgrade. Not really worth it.
