What 2 cyl oil to use

I use Amsoil Interceptor synthetic, its better at keeping variable exhaust valves cleaner. But, on older sleds, especially if they dont have variable exhaust valves, a good quality mineral based oil will save you quite a bit and still give you good protection and engine life.

The only real question is synthetic or not (and I'd go no in a machine that old) because any of the major brands will work well enough in your sled. That old commercial "motor oil's motor oil" isn't too far off especially in two stroke oil. I have an in law that used to truck and he'd haul to/from an unnamed oil place and he said there'd be pallets of "arctic cat" jugs right next to pallets of "polaris" jugs and in the next isle was probably the "ski-doo" and "yamaha" jugs. They'd just change jugs and keep pumping them full. At most they had a color die that varied from brand to brand but it was all the same darn oil...

You won't need anything synthetic or even a synthetic blend with that old of a sled. If you want to fine but you're wasting money. I have a 96 and a 99 Polaris and since I cannot get the original Polaris blue oil(white jug) anymore I use Phillips 66 Injex TCW-3. It's exactly the same oil for less than $20/gal.
