BobT
I wonder if a diluted bleach would work okay or if it would cause fading.

zepman
I wouldnt use bleach. Bleach MAY turn them black. I've seen it happen before. Hot water and a mild soap (like a Dawn dishsoap) is the safest.
Canvasman
When cleaning your upholstery it is recommended not to use soft scrub, dawn dish soap, or anything that will remove petroleum products. Your seat vinyl is made with that same product. To get out stubborn stains and dirt you should use a soft brush. It is best to use cleaners that are made to clean vinyls and the like. Then it is a good idea to use a protectant after cleaning to keep the UV resistance. You can find cleaners like Meguires that will both clean and protect with the same application. There are a few good products on the internet too. Try searching for "vinyl protectant"
