Go with the Yamaha they are bulletproof. I cant say that about a lot of the E-techs I see around here lately.

i'd go with the e-tec cuz thats what i own

that being said...lol

i ran a tiller for 20 yrs

and i like geting out on plane now

that e-tec is going to do that for you

plus it wont take much of a chop to back troll with that

wont be as quite but still very livealbe

plus they are pretty......lol

What are you going to do with the boat? What kind of fishing do you primarily do? Lots of trolling, or more run and gun? What did you have for a boat / motor before?

It's tough to offer an opinion without a little more info... especially when you're comparing a 2 stroke to a 4 stroke.

Lots of trolling, Yammie for sure. Lots of waterskiing, or install on a boat that is not maxxed at 90 hp, get the etec for low end punch. Mixture of all types of fishing, I'd go Yammie.
