Cabelas no-vis 100% Fluorocarbon

Just seening if anybody has tried this. I have looked at it in the past but have opted to go with other brands. It is just so much cheaper that i am wondering if it is something I am missing out on. I have used Seaguar and Trilene, should i be trying this instead?

I haven't used Cabelas, but I HAVE used cheap brands. I was very happy with the results, at least the fish seemed to agree with my choice.

I am a cheapskate.

In 2008 I bought a 200yd spool of the #15 test. This spool was lying in a "discount" bin, and it looked very faded and badly hacked up. I got it for a song.

Long story short: I love it. I use it on a casting rig only, but it casts and knots well, and lays beautifully on the spool. It is a little stiff, but that's how all fluoros behave. If used on a casting reel, I think you'll be just fine with it.

i am glad this got posted - i was wondering the same thing. Love to know more about it - i know alot of times a differnet company makes things for cabelas and cabelas just puts their name/box on it (i.e. there prodigy reels are diawas) Is this the case with this line? does anyone know?

I've been told that it's made by Seaguar. I've bought several spools of it, 8 lb to 20 lb, and I think it's a pretty good value. The expensive Trilene stuff is pretty nice - esp in the smaller diameters - but I think the Cabela's stuff is a much better deal for someone looking to spend less money and still have a great product.

I was at Cabelas last night and compared the Cabelas brand to Seaguar and it definitely is not the same as the Carbon Pro or Invizx. If it is made by Seaguar it could be there Red Label line which is terrible.
