Polaris Rzr vs. New Kitchen Floor shootout. The Winner is:

Fishing Junky

Recommended Posts

Well Boys, here are a few shots of the RZR. Not the best photos, but will get more of outside shots when I get it all together. So far I have installed a Poly hard cab w/glass windshield, cab heat w/defrost, 4000lb Vipor Elite winch, and upgraded tires and rims, hard trunk cover, fender flares, rearview mirror. I still have to install: front and rear bumper gaurds, seat adjusters on both seats, rock sliders on the side like nerf bars, front and rear a-arm gaurds. Things I MAY upgrade on down the road are: 2 inch lift, shocks, and clutch kit. Other than that, that should be enough. Hope you enjoy. Junky......

Hehe Fishing Junky . Sweet, sweet rig for sure and my congrats .

So how did the wifey take the new addition or is she getting ready to serve you the DIVORCE papers ? LOL. A good story to fight her off for a bit is to say your just storing it for a friend . LOL That gives you time to think of another one before the server comes knocking .LOL

Thanks Trapper. LOL. I really am lucky to have a Wife as great as she is. She came from a previous 10 year abusive marraige and didn't have a pot to Pee in. We've been married now for 10 years, and she has things that she never had or dreamed of having. So, it's actually pretty easy to manipulate things like this. Plus, she has a "you only live once" attitude. And I think the main thing is: she thinks it's so d a m n cute. He He He. Junky.....

It took me three tries to find one that is so very much supportive of how I like to live Fishing Junky and better yet has a bigger pot to pee in than I . LOL . She also loves to fish and hunt right alongside me .

I do get the occassional evil eye though over my beer habit . LOL

Enjoy the new RZR . It's real cool .

FJ,

I see a bike on the right of pic #2. Is that yours also?

Nope Lep, that would be my Brother's. It's a low mileage 2003 Honda VTX 1800R. Of coarse he has that tricked out as well. The RZR is in his garage for now. He also bought a RZR at the same time and is trickin' his out also. I have to get pics of his when he is done. He has the green one, and is making it resemble the old WWII jeep. Really cool. Junky.....

    • Aw, man, sorry to hear that.  Shed some tears and remember her well.  They all take a piece of our hearts with them; some more than others.
    • yes sorry for your loss..  our dogs are always special...
    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
