i'v been trying to add a picture so it shows up under my name, i'v already have a photo bucket account but every time i copy and paste the link it says improper photo type, but the photo is a jpg which should work. any info on how anyone else did it would be awesome, i would love to learn how to post pics, and the FAQ, does'nt explain it very well. thanks.

you need to use the "direct link" instead of the img code

You can put your avatar in under the "My Stuff" nav tab in the "Edit Profile" section. From the specs it needs to be "110x150 pixels; .gif, .jpg, .png accepted". Mine is hosted by Photobucket. Use the format "http://img.photobucket....." in the "URL to your avatar" line and it should post.

Have you resized the image to the proper size before uploading to your host site?

Use img code for posting in a thread. May want to edit/ resize photo to large 640x480 or medium 320x240 for best fit and viewing while posting in a thread.

I believe the picture has to be less than 150 x 110 pixels to be allowed as an avatar on here....
