Looking at the FishTrap line

I am looking to sell my three year old One Man Clam Fish Trap Pro. Not sure if you are interested. It is in great shape and I am selling a replacement tent to go with it. The original tent still is in great shape, but with the replacement and travel cover it will last another ten years easy.

Let me know if you are interested.

In terms of the Nanook, everyone I have talked to says the Thermal is the real deal, but I would say with a good heater you would be fine. Another line of shacks I am interested in buying if I can sell mine one man is the Wild 1 and 2.

I bought the thermal for $100 more. My old single man was 15 years old. At that rate I figured $7+/year more cost for more warmth when you need/want it and no condensation was just as much a plus as the cost of the single man clam fifteen years ago versus sitting on a bucket. Still, as always, you are the buyer, it is your preference that counts!

I am looking to get a nanook also and will be going with the thermal version for the simple fact that in the long run I will save on the amount of propane needed to heat the house. Second reason for me is I don't like the condensation you get with a non thermal model. I have a new kenai and if I'm out for a long time it starts to rain on me inside the house from the condensation. It only adds 10 Lbs more over the non thermal version.

First off - went through the same decision earlier this year - went thermal and glad I did. 3 main reasons - warmth (I have a 4 year old who like to fish and I want him to enjoy it); No condensation, you don't know how big a deal this is until you don't have it anymore; finally, no wind flapping, have had it out in some big blows and you don't get that garbage bag in a wind tunnel sound.

Regarding the seats - they are better than I expected, but I do not have a particularily large backside. The back rest also provides good support - I have a bad back and used to get back pain in my old house, do not in the Nanook. In any case - it is a standard bolt pattern so you can pretty much put any seat in there including a boat seat.

At this point after 5-6 outings I am very happy with this set-up. Good luck. Paul
