Inglourious Bastards ?

Tarrintino?? Seriously? The guys shtick is stealing from movies from bygone eras, be it dialogue, music, or plot and movie settings. And I'm a fan. We're both about the same age, I get a lot of his inside jokes presented in his movies.

Even The Breakfast Club is referrenced in Inglorious Basterds with Donny's line of "Two hits. I hit you, you hit the ground!"

It might not be the same storyline, but I've seen parts of that movie before it came out, years before it came out. wink

Avatar - If you just enjoy it for what it is, a sci-fi action movie steroid'd out on special FX, then it was pretty cool.

Inglorious Bastards...I was very disappointed with it. It was the same as all his other movies just with natzeees.

Couple I have seen lately.

Antichrist - William Dafoe...Cinematography amazing, disturbing.

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada - Tommy Lee Jones...Great modern western.

I hope Solomon Kane finds a US distributor soon.

I have not seen Avatar and have no plans to.

I would however like to see the Trailer Park Boy's new movie "Countdown To Liquor Day"

I would say the movies that "influenced my life" where Dazed and Confused, Easy Rider, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and a couple other that escape me at the moment.

Word (just word) has it that they are coming back again. I have been watching season 7 on youtube. Last night I watched their Inde promo movie from years ago. Back then Julian was the heavy hitter of the two (Ricky) and bubbles was not even in it. Ricky & Julian did these odd job's grin No Leyhe also and Ricky owned a house.

Was an interesting movie. Graet special effects. Story was reminisent of dances with wolves and district 9. I would have prefered the humans not being the bad guys seeing as we have already gone through stuff like this. Story was typical group of people(in this case aliens) have something that another group wants and the most corupt and greedy are willing to get it anyway they can.

I saw it. It is long we already know that. I'll say "long" as in you want it to end. I should have taken a nap before I went because I was fighting off sleep a few times.

Still I liked the movie and recommend seeing but wait till it comes out in blu ray. One because you can take a break and splash water on your face but most of all I was very disappointed in the picture quality on the big screen.

I watched Avatar this past sunday. In 3D is was alright. A lot too long for my taste, but it had amazing visuals. The 3D was something to forget though. Other than a few arrows and the bugs and the ashes falling after the great tree, it was lackluster.

      got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out

      Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!

      we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
