What does every one use as there goto hooks while ice fishing ? Like one rod dead stck and the other jigging?

I like a big shiner on a dead stick or rattle reel and a buckshot spoon or a jigging rapala on my jigging rod.

On my deadstick or bobber rod its usually a #6 or #8 red Gammi or a small banana jig with a healthy shiner or chub on it.

Jigging I use tons of different stuff but for walleyes the angel eyes, buckshots, rattlin varmits, slender spoons and jiggin raps are on my line a lot for eyes. Crappie wise its ratsos and JR's new Diamond jigs and spoons along with a Angel eye or small silver/white swedish pimple.

I like gammi's as well as "moon glows" i guess i call them. They are made by Kens. I always start jigging with a frostee.

i will start by jigging with a darter spoon (like a pimple) on one rod and a flutter spoon (like a angle eyes ) on the other rod

and let the fish tell me what they prefer.

if not alot of action i will then put a shiner down usally on a

bobber rig and continue jigging with the other

I start most days with a jigging rap and a deadstick with a frostee on it. But as with everything, it all depends.

I know dropper rigs are more for finicky fish, but does it hurt to use one on a dead stick line even if they are not finicky? Also what are some techniques when clipping a minnows tail?

Plain red hook on my deadstick and a cicada blade bait on the other. Lots of fish come on the cicada, but even when they just come in for a look-see, they will find the minnow a few feet away.
