ice armour blue or gray

I want to buy some ice armour. Is it worth payng the extra $100 dollars for the Gray & Black suit or should I get the Blue & Black and wear a extra layer of clothes. I was told that the gray suit more or less has a light jacket sewn in it. What would you do?

I have had them both. Buy the grey or you will wish you did later. Or better yet buy Arctic Armor and save some money and possibly your life!

i have the blue but im always hot, i rarely getting cold. So blue works for me. Mainly just ask urself do u get cold easy outside? get grey. if u dont get cold easy get blue. if u plan on sitting outside a house get grey, etc etc.

I would buy one of each because some days are grey suit days and some are blue suit days.

But seriously if I had to choose I'd go gray. Just leave the coat off when you're drilling holes so you don't get sweated up.

What's the difference between arctic armour vs. Ice armour?

Arctic Armor floats, ice armor does not.

Blue suit works just fine...I fish outside 100% of the time and have yet to have any problems with being cold. As already said though, don't wear the jacket while your drilling holes otherwise you'll get sweaty.

They grey suit has very nice padding in the knees and seat. Well worth the extra $. You can always strip down or open a zipper but when it's cold out you are covered.

Arctic Armour is a No Brainer....I got the green suit last winter and it was the BEST ice fishing purchase ever (other then my vexilar =) )

I too have the blue Ice Armor and have absolutely no regrets. I fish outside prob 80% of the time and have had no problems at all. I love the padded knees as I do a ton of hole hopping / jigging & I actually don't understand how one could get cold wearing that stuff. You must have to go to the arctic circle to need the grey. I'd say get what your budget will allow. It's a win win.
