fish line ???

I fish in current alot of time vertical jigging for walleyes or casting, I always have a problem the my line seems to be to thick and has the tendency to stay afloat and not let my jig go to bottom under casting conditons, what is a good strong line that is thin in diameter that might be a good choice for these conditons. Thanks

try a braid like power pro.

I agree with Deitz. Braid is thin for it's strength and non-bouyant.

If you don't like braided line, a florocarbon like Berkley Vanish Transition would also sink and has a less stretch than mono for better feel.

+1 on braided line. I used it for the first time just about two years ago and never gone back.

I use Power Pro in those situations too.

Fish the river almost exclusively, and braid is my choice for vertical jigging.

When using braid, I would use a quality med-light rod with a fast tip. If you're using a stiffer rod, you may have trouble hooking fish. Just my $.02.

I use the 1/8 PP and love it! I have this on a 7' med action rod , and was having trouble straightening the hooks out on my jigs til i backed off the drag some.
