cleaning greasy cabinets

I've neglected to clean my kitchen cabinets and when I installed a new range hood I found some grease build up that was nasty. What is the best product to clean grimey cabinets? I tried some cleaners I have and they are not working. Cabinets get sticky. Don't want to take the finish off while doing this.

Try some mineral spirits. Just make sure you have some ventilation and no pilot lights going.

Try some elbow grease.

If the build up was nasty and in a place you couldn't find till the hod was off get after it with some crub cutter.

We cleaned two restaraunts this spring that were terrible. We used a product called Jungle jake. It comes in gallon bottles and is green colored. We got it at Fleet type stores. Use it right out of the bottle for heavy grease and dillute it for lighter jobs. After spraying it on, give it five minutes or so to work. Real heavy grease and you may need to do it three or four times to get through all the layers.

grease grizzly in the red spray bottle works great on grease in on my vehicles. i would think it would work on that as well, and its not toxic or really smelly.

have used the jungle jake works real well to clean, after that I would use something to restore the wood. I used to use liquid gold at rental apartments, but have now switched to a product much better. I forget right now what it is, but I'll look and try to get back to you

I know 409 works too but takes time lots of soak to it
