Shelters and Black Friday

Who in So. Mn. is most likely to have the best price on shelters, augers, and ice fishing gear in general on black Friday? Mills, Cabelas, GM, BPS? Thanks

The "Black Friday" ad's will hit the papers and the respective retailer web sites on Wed after midnight in some cases, and Thursday in most, I would make a point to catch them and compare.

On "Door Busters" items large retailers will run the same ad in all stores, so regional North vrs South should not matter much in our northern retail markets.

Ed, do you have any ideas on some deals that we might see? I would like to get a a ice suit like the vex cold snaps but the closest gm is over an hour away wonder if it would be worth the drive.

Just google "gander mountain black friday add". You can do the same for all other retailers if you want to see whats leaked about thier black friday sales.

Just looked at GM black friday ad and prices on shelters and ice clothing look to be just about the same as any other day. they might have some in store specials as they have the last two years but you have to be there at the time to get them.

A couple years ago GM had a turkey day special on the Clam 2000 for $150, so the wife gave that to me for X-mas. Great deal and I can't tell you how many I saw getting loaded into vehicles pulling into their parking lot. I think I got their last one that was on the floor that day.

I purchased a brand new Big Buddy at Northern Tool last year on Black Friday for 89.99. You can't beat that. Look for it this year if they have it again. People were literally filling their carts with them.

a few years ago, I hit Gander MT on Black friday at 5 am when they opened, I wanted to see what they had going on, not much, I think I bought some blaze orange gear on sale cheap but when I was back in the gun department, there was a guy buying a handgun, it got me thinking so I went over to see what they had and started talking with him and the sales guy. I asked if you could buy a handgun at 5 AM and the guy buying said "that is how my conversation started with the sales guy, don't let him answer unless you are going to buy one. My wife is out buying a ton of stuff no one wants, she is buying this 44mag for me but doesn't know it yet" I laughed out loud and backed slowly away from the gun counter.......
