BlueLundFishrman
Just wondering how everyone thinks the Vikings will do the rest of the way. They've done good so far. But have only one dominating win to show for themselves, and that was against the 0-7 St Louis Rams. They've definitely showed an ability to come from behind and win games, but they shouldn't have to worry about that against the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions. The win against San Franciso 49ers showed that Farve still has it in him (The winning catch by Lewis was as good if not better than the throw, give Lewis some credit he made a phenomenal catch). The win against the Packers the Vikings had the game in hand and almost let it slip away. Great games by both Farve and Rodgers, although Rodgers was under constant pressure (sacked 8 times) the entire game and Farve (sacked 0 times) had all the time in the world. The Vikings held a 16 point lead midway through the 4th and almost let it slip away; Sidney Rice made great plays to secure 2 outstanding on-side kicks by Mason Crosby. Against the Baltimore Ravens the Vikings held a 17 point lead with less than 10 minutes to go in the game. After a couple of scores by each team, the Vikings still had a 13 point lead with less than 6 minutes to go in the game. The Ravens come back and score TD's on 2 drives to take the lead, only to have Farve lead a drive down the field for the eventual game-winning FG. But there was still enough time for Joe Flacco to lead the Ravens down the field, and have a shot at the win. But the kicker couldn't come through on a 44yd attempt indoors. Against the SB-champ Steelers, the Vikings let opportunities slip away, and 2 costly TO's by Brett Farve were turned into instant points by the Steelers D. They definitely have the tougher part of their schedule coming up. They should easily make the playoffs (barring an injury to Farve and/or AP). Even with the big o-line, some teams have been able to hold AP down from what you should expect out of him. As good as the Vikings record is so far, once the playoffs come around, the Cleveland Browns, St Louis Rams, Detroit Lions will be off playing golf. The better teams will still be playing, and the Vikings can't afford to let them back into games they have put away. One also has to wonder how much pep Farve will have at the end of the season. The big o-line should be able to protect him, but if they can't put away teams in the 4th, it will only lead to more plays for Farve and more opportunities for the opposing defense to put a lick on him. The defense has played good for the most part, but has had moments of imploding. If a team can hold Jared in check like the Steelers did, the defense becomes less dominating.Should be a good rest of the season. Only time will tell how it all shakes out. bassNspear
i have a feeling there going to make the playoffs, and if they are coached right, should do some damage!
harvey lee
I would guess they will end up tied with GB.
Swimbait2009
So we're 6-1 after 7...let's go from there.I think we beat GB again next week, which leads us to our bye week. I think we are in a very favorable position there, since we our next two games are against Detroit and Seattle. We can get healthy number one, and then drill on the little things. Detroit gives a good opportunity to focus on those things we work on in the bye week, as this really shouldn't be much of a contest. Seattle should be a slightly tougher game, but our secondary will really have two weeks off going into that game, so I think we win there as well, and our team will have had two more weeks to come together on their timing and experience. So hosting Chicago in week 12 I think we are 9-1. As of right now I think we win that game as well at home, but if Matt Forte returns to last year's form we could be in for a tough one. Arizona and Cinncy BOTH have formidable offenses this year, but I doubt that both of them can stop AP. One of them does, so I think we lose one of those games. So after week 14 I think we are 11-2. Carolina comes next, and again I think our secondary gets a week off which leaves us 12-2. Now we go to Chicago for game 2. I don't think we win both games against Chicago and I think Forte will have his **** together by now, so after this one we're 12-3.If we were playing the Giants in their house, and if you had asked this question before last night's game, I would think we lose this game, but the G-men are NOT what they were at the beginning of the season. I think we win this game and finish the season 13-3. I can see us losing one more in there (ARI, CIN, CHI, or NYG), but I'm standing by my prediction. JBMasterAngler
We finish 13-3, get the bye in the 1st round, win a squeaker in the 2nd round. Then get annihilated by the saints in the NFC championship.
zamboni
What games have you been watching???? They have dominated 3/4ths of all the games this year, for about 50 minutes. They dominated the Packer, Ravens for 50, then almost blew it. They lost yesterday because of bad calls. The Lions and Browns they started off slow then turned it on in the second half. I knew they weren't a 16-0 team, but I still see 14-2 or 13-3. Easily.

Rippinlip
12-4, with 3 of the losses coming from either Chicago, Arizona, Giants, Cincinnati. Hard to sweep 6 conference games.

Cooter
They SHOULD do very well, only time will tell. You finally have a QB - not sure about the coaching but if I was a Queens fan I'd hope like heck either this or the next year is the one. After that the Pack is gonna be back - hopefully. Just can't predict much in the NFL these days, which is the way it should be.
BlueLundFishrman
Unless the Vikings can start putting teams away, and not letting them back into games, they won't last long in the playoffs. I don't predict them to go to the big show, NFC Championship will be as far as they make it.
